Hashimoto (1884-1953), a member of the White Horse Society, here expands the limits of the Sketchtour genre by taking his brush to Paris and London in the years 1909-10. There are some 11 color lithographs, 40 b+w lithographs and 12 halftones. The text is that of Hashimoto's travel diary. [See Johnson's ANDON article for more on this work. ] Our copy is quite worn and chipped externally, with moderate internal foxing. An unusual example of the genre in any condition. Just good overall.
