[MAP - JAPAN] IMPERIAL GEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF JAPAN. TOPOGRAPHICAL MAP OF THE JAPANESE EMPIRE. Engraved by N. Matsudaira, printed by G. Yoshii at the Tôyôdô in Tokyo, 1900. This huge (164 x 183 cm) map has a colored inset of the political divisions of the empire and another inset of Taiwan and environs, as well as a superbly detailed map of Japan itself. There is some weakening of folds, but overall in good condition, folded and enclosed in a printed cover box. A monumental work, in English throughout. By no means common.
