Elegant binding by Pétrus Ruban (1851-1929) signed on inner dentelle. Full caramel-colored levant morocco, gilt, onlaid with black levant in an interlaced geometric motif, with sprays and roses in gilt. Spine gilt, with raised bands, and the onlaid interlace repeated in miniature in the compartments. Blue morocco doublures with onlaid red roses and intricate gilt borders. Luxurious gold floral brocade endpapers are followed by marbled endpapers. The original wrappers are bound-in, and a list of the members of the Société des Amis des Livres. Created under the direction of Octave Uzanne. An édition de luxe in fine condition.
