A single sheet, 7 x 8 inches, 7 typed lines on Faber & Faber letterhead, on one side of the sheet. A polite note of regret ("... I am afraid, however, that my present engagements allow me no time to undertake anything more during the rest of this year. I hope your Conference will be very successful..."), it is signed "T. S. Eliot" in ink beneath the typed closing "With grateful thanks, | Yours very truly." Creased from folding for mailing. Very good.
