Small 12mo., printed color pictorial boards with cloth spine. Heavily illustrated in wood engraving throughout. Each cut is captioned in English, the text is in Japanese throughout. This is the second volume on the Tokaido route, the third of seven projected volumes in the series [at least four of which were actually published]. Designed to stand on its own. The second printing of the second revised edition, originally issued in 1889. Scores of skillful and interesting views of Meiji architecture, etc. An unusual and fragile item, here in rubbed but generally good condition and good impression.
