Folding manuscript facsimile. Together with: DERNIERS CHANSONS de P.J. de Beranger. Paris, Perrotin, 1857. Octavo. iv,371pp. Bound together with: MA BIOGRAPHIE. Ouvrage Posthume de Beranger. Paris, Perrotin, 1859. With engraved portrait, appendix, and many notes on the poems by the author. All three volumes uniformly bound in red morocco, tooled in gilt and blind, with marbled edges. Spines darkened, extremities rubbed, and labels chipped or missing, moderate foxing throughout. Beranger (1780-1857), a beloved people's poet, witnessed the capture of the Bastille as a schoolboy, and was imprisoned twice for revolutionary activities and for the staunch Republicanism of his poems. The publication of "Derniers Chansons" and the republication of "Oeuvres Completes" form a complete memorial collection. 3 volumes.
