Two octavo volumes. Contemporary bindings of calf, with red and black gilt-lettered labels at spines, all edges speckled brown. Intermittent foxing, light to moderate, in both volumes. The bottom fore-corner of Vol. 2 is lightly dampstained in the margin, gradually diminishing throughout the first 250 pp. The bindings are lightly soiled and rubbed, with wear and/or loss at crowns, darkened at spines, and joints starting. Just about very good. First published in 1823, Eberle's Treatise became a standard text-book and went through five editions. (D.A.B.).
