And: Handbook of The Colonial Society of Massachusetts. Boston: Published by the Society, 1992. A total of 65 octavo volumes, being a very large and nearly complete run of the Publications. Illustrated with reproductions of paintings, photographs, diagrams, and facsimiles, with a few in color. Uniformly bound, with one exception, in blue cloth (with some minor variations in shade from the beginning of the run to to the end), with gilt-stamped title to spine and the Society's seal on the upper board. The exception is the Handbook of the Colonial Society, which is backed in blue cloth, with gilt-stamped title on spine, and marbled boards. About a third of the volumes, the most recent publications, have dust jackets. Ink ownership and/or a bookplate in some volumes. Although a few volumes show negligible wear or soiling to bindings, the majority are quite clean; and all are internally clean and fresh. A fine run overall.
