Illustrated with a steel-engraved portrait and six maps. Octavo [2].,xi,757 pp. Publisher's blue cloth, gilt-stamped leather spine label, grey coated endpapers, t.e.g. Spine has shallow loss at crown and show light wear at heel. Leather label is edge-chipped. The book is a bit over-opened near the center, and the rear hinge is starting at the top, but sound. It is an attractive and very good copy. (Larner 2353).
