Owner's personal contemporary bookplate on front pastedown, blindstamp and ink signature on first blank recto; small chips to top corner and fore-edge of marbled front flyleaf. Spine and corners worn, slightly chipped. Mauthner was the first to use sclerotomy to treat glaucoma. Important early ophthamology text. B/w illustrations.
