Light soil to cloth. Moderate wear to spine and corners. Frontispiece engraving excellent. Interior clean and tight. Amos Lawrence (1786-1852) was a noted philanthropist and merchant of the 19th century; Lawrence, Massachusetts, is named after his son, Amos Adams Lawrence.
