Later printing. 100 pp. 4to., green cloth stamped in gilt with color illustration pastedown to front board. Small dent to fore-edge of front board, minor wear to heel and crown of spine, else fine externally. Front endpapers have ink gift inscription dated Christmas 1924. Eleven full page color plates, one for each story. Adaptations of the originals of David Copperfield, Little Women, Hans Brinker, Heidi, Mowgli (The Jungle Book) and others. Text clean and tight. In fair to good color illustrated dust jacket, with light soil, several closed tears, and several chips ranging from 1/2 inch to 3 inches, one partially obscuring the title and author name on the front panel.
