With an Appendix and several useful Tables. Boston: T. B. Wait, 1810. First edition. 529 pp. Octavo, calf, quite worn, with cracks along hinges and wear to extremities. Ex library, with library markings. Some occasional faint foxing to text leaves. Thacher was a military surgeon during the American Revolution; he supported the execution of the spy John Andre and wrote a book about it. He also wrote "A Military Journal during the American Revolutionary War" (1823). His Dispensatory paved the way for the first United States Pharmacopeia. (Wellcome V, 248).
