[DRAWING GUIDE] TAKEUCHI Jiro^, artist. HO^GACHO^ 2, 3, 4. Kyo^to, Yamada Unso^do^, Meiji 34 [1901]. Printed paper covers, oblong albums, tassel-bound. 17.9 x 25.1 cm. Volume two and volume three contains 17 prints each and volume four 15, thus there are a total of 49 color woodblock prints bound in as a guide for drawing using a traditional brush, most probably to be used in schools. The drawings have a decidedly "Nihonga" feel to them. In very good condition overall, the printing quality is very good, as well.
