[BOTANICAL] Murakami Sadao, artist. HANA NO SHIRABE. Kyoto, MARIA Gabo, Showa 6 [1931]. Large publisher's original chitsu clasped case, containing a cloth-covered portfolio with a table of contents of all 50 of the oban sized flower prints by Murakami, printed exquisitely by the MARIA Gabo. Image size 11 x 15 inches. Very unusual as a complete set as the prints have been broken up over the years. Some browning as is common with the 30s era paper used by Uchida and MARIA, occasional light foxing of the marginal mounting paper, but very good overall and a remarkable example of the printer's craft.
