[DESIGN] SHIN ZUAN, #11-20, 10 volumes. Kyoto, Shinzuankai. Nakayasu Shinsaburô, Meiji 25-7 [1890-2]. 24.4 x 16.5 cm. Cord- bound Japanese-style (fukuro toji). Printed paper covers, each with at least 12 single page color woodcuts after designs by Kamisaka Sekka, Kaishi [Kaigai] Tennen and others. These are volumes eleven through twenty of the series, NEW DESIGNS. Engraved by Fujimura Shinjirô and printed by Takagi Gennosuke, it is a fine example of the art of book making and the design revival beginning in middle Meiji. The impressions are fresh and very good. The overall condition is about good, with a bit of occasional staining and worming. Each volume is $275.00, sold as a lot of ten volumes for $2,250.00.

Price: $2,250.00
