POUND, Ezra. TYPED POST CARD, SIGNED. Rapallo, Italy: March 26, 1932. Six typed lines, including the closing, on a 3 1/2" by 5 1/2" post card, signed "E Pound" in ink. It is addressed to F. Ankenbrand Esq | 2029 Widener Place | Philadelphia | U.S. America. The addressee, African-american author and poet Frank Ankenbrand, was a friend of Pound's. Pound begins "Thanks very much. Will write my alledged agent re/ the piracy of the Gourmont." Remy de Gourmont was a poet and prominent figure of the French Symbolist movement. It Following another sentence about a mutual acquaintance named Macy is the typed closing, "Cordially yours E. Pound," with Pound's signature nisecting it. Postmarked and dated Rapallo, Genova [Italy], 26 March 1932. Fine condition.
