BOLTON, Arthur T. THE ARCHITECTURE OF ROBERT & JAMES ADAM (1758-1794). In two volumes. London: George Newnes/ New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1922. Folio, green cloth with spine in gilt and raised gilt relief portrait to front of both boards. Illustrated in black and white. Both volumes bowed. Spine of volume 1 has a small bump, extremes are worn, with general soiling to spines and boards. Gilt is dulled on spines and rubbed at relief portraits. Inch-long open tear to second endpaper and repaired 6" tear to frontispiece of volume 1. Text and illustrations are clean and fresh. A good working copy, sold as is.
