Small late 19th, early 20th century oblong 13.4 x 18.3 cm album of albumen photos, Half of the album is made up of shots of Japanese women in kimono, in the studio and out. The other half is a catalogue of tourist scenes, each about 9 x 13 cm image size. Decorated lacquer covers with insets. The images are handcolored, with quite a bit of differential fading (the reds stand out). The covers have a bit of edgewear and gouges, but the condition overall is good. Interesting for its emphasis on women.
